We offer nightly rentals of backcountry yurts to everyone.

Idaho Wilderness Yurts offers nightly backcountry yurt rentals, and is an experience that has been curated to appeal to the most avid adventurer while also being accessible to the average family with kids bundled up and towed in a pulk. From the orientation of the sauna overlooking the river, to the toilet located inside each warmed yurt, and the gravity-fed faucet, every detail has been thoroughly considered to help create a comfortable and luxurious experience in a location that is completely off-grid, gets over 10 feet of snow a year, and is 3 miles from the nearest automobile in the winter.

Hot sauna and cold plunge

An opportunity to experience the 2,000-year-old Finnish tradition of deep relaxation in a wood-fired sauna. Handcrafted in the USA, with a cedar interior, a big window overlooking the river, and the option of a dry or a steam sauna. One sauna is shared by the three yurts, and it is family-friendly: swimsuits on.

Insulated yurts, wood stoves and memory foam

Our insulated yurts stay cool in the summer, and you can cozy up by the wood stove in the winter. Each 27’ yurt has a modern kitchen with a gravity-fed sink and a solar-powered fridge, memory foam mattresses, and an odor-free composting toilet inside.

We do this by offering a space for families and friends to gather in the wilderness, surrounded with the beauty of creation. Idaho Wilderness Yurts is a thin place between heaven and earth, where the Lord’s presence is tangible, even if you don’t know Him yet. When staying here, you have time and space to slow down: to ask the big questions and receive bigger answers. A family project, years in the making

Idaho Wilderness Yurts is a family project that has been years in the making. Each detail has been curated to facilitate incredible adventures and give rest to our souls. This camp came to life through a desire to connect family and friends in nature while preserving many of the comforts and conveniences of home. I am excited to be able to welcome you, your loved ones, and adventure buddies to our backcountry huts that have a twist of luxury.
